Rita is the author of the book Stay Out of Court! The Manager's Guide to Preventing Employee Lawsuits (Prentice Hall). She has been an attorney since 1979, and a business owner, manager and trainer since 1982. She had her own law firm for 10 years, representing employees and employers, and also worked for the Legal Department of a Fortune 500 company and the Disability Law Center.

Rita is one of the principal creators of Fair Measures training programs that use practical techniques that managers can put into action to prevent sexual harassment, wrongful termination and other employment rights claims. Rita contributes to Fair Measures web site and updates it monthly with the latest cases and commentary.

Patrick is a former Buddhist monk, having lived in Burma (now Myanmar), where he studied Buddhist philosophy. He has traveled along a path towards serenity and has developed a greater understanding of human nature which he continues to build upon through his ongoing work.

Patrick also holds more than twenty-five years of experience as the CEO, general manager and owner of several successful small businesses, which have helped to hone his own skills and understanding of the challenges of being a leader in our careers and personal lives. He brings the integration of these experiences, ancient teachings and modern applications to his work as a coach and trainer. Patrick's company is Awakened Wisdom.
