All Fair Measures trainers are practicing employment law attorneys with years of consultation and courtroom experience on tough employment law issues.  They are also excellent facilitators who know how to communicate in plain English.  Rather than lecture, they engage participants in active learning with stories and humor, making the law come alive.  They answer tough questions that managers are grappling with currently and make each course fun, upbeat and extremely practical.  Our trainers are consistently given the highest evaluations possible by class participants.  They know the law and how to connect with the learner so that your training investment is well integrated into actual management practices.

After graduating from law school she joined a mid-sized firm where she specialized in labor and employment law.  She defended claims of wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, and harassment before state and federal courts and administrative matters before the Office of Civil Rights, the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission and California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing. In addition to litigation, Ms. Crane drafted policies and procedures implementing the Americans with Disabilities Act and the family leave laws and conducted Fair Labor Standards Act audits. In 1997, she became in-house counsel where, in addition to litigation, she handled hearings and arbitrations and provided daily advice to managers concerning ongoing issues.  Ultimately, she was general counsel for a 4.2 billion dollar public pension fund.  She has presented numerous training seminars for supervisors and managers on employment law issues both as a contractor and in-house counsel.  Julie joined Fair Measures in 2000.
