When Harassment Turns to Romance -- "Victim" Returns Money Settlement 02-26-2004

A woman had an affair with her married boss, a top County official. The affair became public, and she quit. The next day, she changed her mind and asked for her job back. Her boss refused, saying the affair was over. She sued for sexual harassment, and after much negotiation (and attorneys fees) the County paid her $36,200 for her mental anguish.

About two years later, the victim and accused harasser were seen together at a Christmas Eve party. The man, since divorced, admitted they were seeing each other again.

A few days later, the two sent checks to the County repaying all the money the victim had received, plus an amount to repay the County for what it had spent in attorneys fees. And they all lived happily ever after...
