What are the Federal Rules on PTO? 08-01-01

My firm is interested in adopting a PTO plan, but I can not find any guidance or examples of these plans to get an idea of what is allowed under federal law. Can you tell me where I can find some information?

Rita Risser replies:

There are no federal laws affecting Personal Time Off. Federal law does not require you to give any time off for any reason. You should check with a local attorney to see if there are any state laws that apply.
