"Micro-managing" female boss jokes I'm "small" - is this harassment? 11-03-2005

An older female senior manager who was my direct boss was making derogatory references to my anatomy to other employees. I am a man and these were directed toward me as "small" penis jokes. Since I was a male manager who was directing a department she personally wanted to micro-manage (no pun) it came as no surprise she was saying these things. In addition to making fun behind my back, according to others, she would play the innuendo, double-entendre, circle-within-circle games to my face. How can I prove this as sexual harassment?

Rita Risser replies:

This sounds like harassment to me! It doesn't matter that she is female and you are male. You can file a claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Good luck.
