Executive Sessions are for the CEO, President and Vice Presidents. Usually they are two hours in length, but they may be longer or shorter upon request. Most Executive Sessions run longer or are started later than planned, so we reserve a full day for the presentation to be flexible to your needs.
There are three types of executive sessions; any one or all three may be conducted for any one group.
Introductory Session
This is to introduce the Managing Within the Law, Managing Ethically and other Fair Measures programs to the executive group, and we highly recommend an executive session be conducted before a program is rolled out to the rest of the organization. Each executive is given the course manual for reference. The objectives:
- Alert management to the issues and concepts that will be shared with their subordinates, so that management is acting consistently with program recommendations and legal requirements
- Update management on current legal trends covered in the program
- Obtain direction from management so the program fits with the organization's goals and direction
- Receive specific information from management that can be shared with later participants to show management buy-in and enhance program credibility
Feedback Session
This is usually held after the majority of the organization's managers have completed Managing Within the Law. The objectives:
- Alert management to issues raised by managers during the course of the workshops
- Share ideas for ways to address the issues raised
Consulting Session
These sessions can be held at any time, whether or not the Managing Within the Law program is offered in your organization. We have consulted with executive groups on glass ceiling issues, creating respectful workplaces, ethics and more. These sessions are usually requested to respond to specific issues within the organization, and therefore they are highly customized. Several days of research (both interviews within company and legal research) normally are needed to prepare.
