Can a Supervisor spy on employees after hours and then tell the whereabouts of employees to other Supervisors and Managers?

Rita Risser Chai Replies:

It depends on what you mean by “spying.” If a supervisor happens to see you on the street, in a club, at the supermarket or somewhere else, you are in public and have no right to privacy. It is legal for them to tell others what they’ve seen. If they are using binoculars to look into your house, that’s illegal.
