One-on-One Sensitivity Training

Our one-on-one sensitivity training is for managers and executives who have been accused of harassment or discriminatory remarks or have issues communicating with their staff. They may have been through an online training that was not effective, or if trained in a classroom setting, they may have been reluctant to ask questions directly related to their situation. Our discreet one-on-one sensitivity training gives them the focus and attention they need to correct unwanted workplace behaviors.

How does One-on-One Sensitivity Training benefit your organization?

Taught on-site by one of our highly skilled attorney-trainers, our one-on-one sensitivity training program includes pre-training discussions with your management and Human Resources teams. Any concerns around specific allegations, the results of investigations, or any other issues, are considered to insure that all parties are clear on your desired learning objectives as well as your companies values.

Why One-on-One Training?

One-on-one training sessions have been shown to successfully reduce hostility in people accused of harassment and discrimination, and to increase their understanding of the legal parameters in which the company must act. These meetings improve workplace communication by making company policies clear, and by obtaining the individuals buy-in to any necessary processes for change.

Sessions Include:

  • The causes of sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and workplace bullying
  • Why most disrespectful behavior is unintentional
  • The legal definition of sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation
  • Discussion of “welcome” vs. “unwelcome” attention
  • How to apply the definition to examples including the specific accusation
  • Management’s duty to prevent sexual harassment
  • Review of company policies and procedures
  • Legal requirements to institute discipline
  • Guidelines for future conduct
